Dynamo - PSG
16.04 18:30
Dynamo is a club with a very rich tradition and one very successful history of playing in the European competitions. Their titles in now former Cup Winners’ Cup back in 1975. and 1986. will always be remembered. For quite a long time, Dynamo was unbeatable in the domestic championship; however, they started to lose their dominance in the last couple of years and had to hand it over to Shakhtar Donetsk. This year they’re on the best way to regain that dominance since they’re ahead of Shakhtar in the domestic championship by 15 points with only 7 rounds to go. Since their job in their league is almost done, their thoughts and hopes are completely turned to UEFA Cup cause after a few unfulfilling seasons they again have a chance to fight for the trophy in Europe. Coach Semin is fully satisfied with their performance in the first quarterfinal leg cause Dynamo was totally equal side in Paris. They will be favs in the return leg cause no team finds it easy to play at the Valeri Lobanovskiy stadium. Semin doesn’t have too many squad issues; the only missings will be midfielder Mykhalyk as well as Pape Diakhate. All other players are ready so we are ought to expect the following lineup: Bogush; Betao, Sabljic, El Kaddouri, Yussuf; Correa, Vukojevic; Ninkovic, Eremenko, Aliyev; Milevskiy.
A good season
After horrible last season when they avoided relegation in the last round, PSG has fully turned the page this year. Coach Le Guen formed a very tough and disciplined team, and their results have been very solid. They’re sharing the 4th place in the standings, and have a nice chance to fight for the CL. They recorded excellent results in UEFA Cup, knocking out some very strong sides like Braga or Wolfsburg. They’re playing very tough football and hardly concede goals. Le Guen said that once you enter the quarterfinals, you should give your best in order to record the biggest success possible. However, the French public has been criticizing PSG’s coach cause he probably won’t include two of their best players Makelele and Giuly in the starting lineup. Le Guen expects a lot from their young guns, but two of them won’t be able to play due to injuries. Sakho and Arnaud haven’t managed to heal their injuries in time, while leading striker Horeau’s status is also questionable. The lineup could look like the following: Landreau; Ceara, Makonda, Camara, Traore; Clement, Chantome, Rothen, Sessegnon; Luyindula, Hoarau.
Dynamo are slightly better
PSG have managed to come back from a deficit in the previous rounds of this year’s UEFA Cup, so Dynamo can not allow themselves to underestimate them in this clash. However, the home field advantage, as well as the mixed squad of the guests put the guys from Kiev in the position of favorites. Although this is a very hard match to predict, I suggest a home win, but for medium stakes only.
Tip: Dynamo, Odds 1.85
